Welcome to Scenic Sanctuary in Bijagua! This is a large beautiful 3 bedroom 2 bath home with the finest private nature walking trails in the area. Toucans, sloths and monkeys abound with many other types of wildlife. Take advantage of the picnic lookout with gorgeous views of Miravalles Volcano. It’s a short 15 minute drive to Tenorio National Park and the incredible turquoise Rio Celeste. You will be surrounded by all the peaceful tranquility Bijagua has to offer in your own secluded retreat.
This is a brand new modern home with walkout access to trails and nature. The home features a large portico with abundant fauna where you can relax and enjoy nature. Our own nature trails covering nearly 20 acres of primary rainforest provide wonderful nature experiences by just stepping out of the house, and also a short walk or drive away are the only hanging bridges in the area. The entire house is available for use plus nearly 1000 meters of walking trails and a beautiful wooden raised lookout point with an included picnic table.

Our private reserve sits just outside Bijagua town and about a 15 minute drive from Tenorio National Park and the turquoise Río Celeste — one of the most convenient rainforest settings in the area.
Up to 6 guests across 3 bedrooms and 5 beds, with 2 full bathrooms. It is our largest home and works beautifully for families or two couples travelling together.
On our private nature reserve at Pera de Heliconias, near Bijagua in Alajuela Province. It is roughly a 15 minute drive to Tenorio National Park and the turquoise Río Celeste, and about 5 minutes from the shops and restaurants of Bijagua town.
Check-in is after 2:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM, with easy self check-in via lockbox so you can arrive on your own schedule.
Yes. The home is built to North American standards with a full kitchen and baths, air conditioning and high-speed fibre internet. Nature trails and the raised picnic lookout are just outside, so kids and adults both have plenty to explore.
Full refund between booking and 14 days prior to arrival. Within 14 days of arrival you receive back 50% of every night but the first one; there is no refund of the first night or the service fee. Rates are subject to 13% VAT.
