This is a gem of a new home. It features nearly 20 acres of private volcano and valley views with nature trails, a raised lookout platform, and your own private labyrinth. Monkeys, toucans, sloths and many other creatures abound in this very private yet conveniently located property near the Rio Celeste and close to town. The photos shown are taken from the property. This home is super convenient to many activities – and now it has fast fiber optic internet/wifi and air conditioning.
Friendship House is a complete home rather than a cabin: a full kitchen, a living room, two bedrooms and a raised porch where the toucans tend to land in the morning. Laundry facilities are in the house, and free onsite parking has room for multiple cars. Step off the porch and the reserve opens up — nearly 20 acres of private trails, with a further 10 adjoining acres available for guests to walk.

Our private reserve sits just outside Bijagua town and about a 15 minute drive from Tenorio National Park and the turquoise Río Celeste — one of the most convenient rainforest settings in the area.
Up to 4 guests across 2 bedrooms and 3 beds, with 1 full bathroom. It suits a family with children or two couples travelling together.
On our private nature reserve at Pera de Heliconias, near Bijagua in Alajuela Province. It is roughly a 15 minute drive to Tenorio National Park and the turquoise Río Celeste, and about 5 minutes from the shops and restaurants of Bijagua town.
Check-in is after 2:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM, with self check-in via lockbox so you can arrive on your own schedule.
Yes. Friendship House was completed in 2019 and includes a full kitchen, living room, two bedrooms, laundry facilities and a raised porch. Beds come dressed with linens and the kitchen is ready for real cooking, not just reheating.
Full refund between booking and 14 days prior to arrival. Within 14 days of arrival you receive back 50% of every night but the first one; there is no refund of the first night or the service fee. Rates are subject to 13% VAT.
